Let’s turn this post into a helpful guide for newcomers!Also if you think your local city has no punk scene, just stay patient and keep a look out for shows. In my city specifically, everything is completely under the radar. Punk bands repeat the same venues often which is useful for meeting the same group of people more than once
If your local town or city doesn’t have a punk band or scene start one. You may not be the best but somthing is nothing and it could inspire people to start their own bands!
And if that doesn’t work, pull a card from the roots of Seattle grunge and set up sets in alleyways and put up posters a week in advance

His anti-racism views and work are often totally ignored by historians.

He was a Jew who fled nazi germany, who coudn’t get a damn job anywhere near his field bc of being Jewish, but people are shocked he was against racism. of course he was. he lived being a victim of it.
he was also a socialist
The fact that he was a socialist is pretty much never talked about. The FBI kept a 1427 page file on him because of his political ideology. He even wrote an article in the Monthly Review about his thoughts on socialism

In such an economy, the means of production are owned by society itself and are utilized in a planned fashion.
